In 2012, something appeared in Rey Hernandez’s living room at 6 a.m. An hour later, nothing about his life was the same, and he’s spent every year since trying to understand it.

Rey is an experiencer, co-editor of the 820-page landmark book Beyond UFOs, and a co-founder of FREE, the Dr. Edgar Mitchell Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial Encounters. He coined the term “contact modalities,” the idea that near-death experiences, out-of-body experiences, contact encounters, and communication with the deceased aren’t separate phenomena at all, but doorways into the same greater reality.

In this episode we get into why some people see things that others standing right next to them can’t, the contact story Rey calls the most important experiencer account he’s ever heard, and the darker side of the phenomenon most people don’t talk about.
